Step 1: Open up the Photoshop
application.
Step 2: Within the application, open up a new blank document. A settings page should pop up with dimensions that you can use, but for now you can just use the default setting.
Step 3: Insert a picture onto the document by going into the "file" tab and selecting "open". From here you can browse for an appropriate picture.
Step 4: Click, hold, then drag your photo onto the blank document using the “arrow tool”.
Step 5: Now once your picture is in the Photoshop application, click the ‘Quick Selection’ tool on the left hand side and begin creating an area of effect around the photo that you would wish to cut out. You may have the use the - button, to deselect and area around your picture that you do not want to cut out. If at any point you want to restart the selection, right click, then press "deselect" to start fresh.
Step 6: Now select the “arrow tool” once more and you will be able to drag the selected area of the photo off of the image.
Step: 7 From here you are able to move the detached image wherever you would like. This means being able to post it overtop of other images.
